Ma Khin was born in 1883 in Moulmein, Burma (now Myanmar). Her story and that of her family was marked by the colonial era in which she lived, and above all by her meeting with her husband William Carr, a judge in the former British colony.
Ma Khin’s story inspires our restaurant and our cuisine. We acknowledge the colonial heritage and work for greater understanding between the different peoples of the world by sharing our gastronomic stories.
