With the arrival of spring, Valencia comes alive with plans to enjoy its vibrant gastronomic scene, and one of the most eagerly anticipated events is undoubtedly Cuina Oberta. In this new edition, taking place from April 3 to 13, Ma Khin returns to the initiative with a proposal that will leave no one indifferent. An exclusive menu, specially designed for the occasion, will transport diners to India, showcasing flavors and techniques that Steve Anderson discovered on his most recent trip through the Asian country.
The menu, available throughout the event, is conceived as a sensory experience that combines traditional Southeast Asian techniques with the contemporary approach that defines Ma Khin. Among the standout dishes are the shrimp pakora with balachaung mayo, the Peshwari chicken kebab marinated in spices and served with a refreshing pickled lemon salad, and the fish biryani — a reinterpretation of the iconic spiced rice dish that evokes the flavors of southern India.
But that’s not all. As a special activity within the Cuina Oberta program, on April 8 at 7:00 p.m., we’re hosting an exclusive live showcooking event where Steve Anderson will demonstrate how to prepare two of Ma Khin’s most iconic Indian dishes: prawn butter masala and broken samosa salad.
It will be a unique opportunity for those who wish to delve into the secrets of our kitchen, learn more about the inspirations behind it, and later enjoy a full dinner infused with the flavors of India, reimagined from the heart of Valencia. The price of the full experience — showcooking + tasting menu — is €70 per person.
